COUNTESS' HANDKERCHIEF. 1 hr. In 19th Century Russian village, two beautiful serf-girls were found guilty in stealing of Countess' handkerchiefs. Girls were forced to undress below waist down and subjected to humiliated and cruel whipping by bunch of nettles between legs and in groin area. Next day culprits have been fastened to the bench, their clothes turned up over and large birch did cruel job on naked posteriors of crying girls. Pure creatures had 50 strokes by terrible birch. They squirmed convulsively uttering heart-rending cries followed by veritable howls...After birching girls were made to kneel over hard dry peas on the bench for all night.
